It's voting time! Head to the Toypixx website to get a good look at this month's entries, then jump over to the comments section on the Toypixx YouTube channel to vote, in order, for your three favorite photos. Voting ends on Thursday, Oct. 3rd, at 11:59 PM PST. I'll announce the winner all over the Toypixx social media channels on Oct. 4th.
And tune in to Monday's livestream at 7:00 PM EST where I'll announce October's photo contest theme.
Until then, always remember these wise words from Optimus Prime:
I really need to get him some energon cubes.
PICTURE-PERFECT PREORDERS
The action figure scene continues to be pretty light, though there's some great, new stuff coming (plus a couple reissues).
My fave's M. Bison, just because I'm into the line, but the Zombie Grisa's hilariously awesome! Whoever came up with that, bravo! I'm tempted by the Spider-Gwen and Spider-Ham reissue because I want all the MAFEX. And I want to try out a 1000 Toys Halo figure, just not sure this one's it.
But hey, these are just one toy photog's heavily-caffeinated opinions.

Before I get too crazy on this week's Patreon freebies, I have some people to thank!
You have no idea how much I appreciate that, gentlemen. Thank you!
As for the freebies, it was a week o' wallpapers! And a bullet trail effect that I think actually works (that prompt's been tough to make do what I want).
First, a clown warehouse for, well, whichever purple-suit wearin', green-hair sportin' figures you might have lying around. Then a city sunrise, where I imagine Spidey eating a breakfast burrito before the day's tusslin'. There's a moonlight alley for all your city-dwelling action figures, the aforementioned bullet trail effect, and the past week's hi-res image and Photoshop files.
As mentioned at the beginning of this, be sure to VOTE on September's YouTube photo contest entries! That's what the first video's all about.
And, of course, Monday night's are Photogenic Figure nights, where we go over some news, and all the figures that went up for preorder in the previous week that are gonna look great under your lights and front of your lens!
As for Thursday, we chatted about feeling overwhelmed because so much great stuff's out there! I mean, what is a collector to do?
It's time to kick back and enjoy some of my figures. I really need to pick up some more MDLX and MAFEX because I'm getting the plastic crack shakes.
Also, go see Transformers One! I swear it isn't just some goofy quest with silly characters. It's fun, with a whole lotta spark! Orion's / Optimus's characterization's perfect on the silver screen for the first time since 1986. And for the first time ever in the theater, we see what made D-16 / Megatron the tyrant he is today.
And after you watch it, you can join me in my MDLX sickness.
The Toypixx Newsletter March 16, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE DO I NEED A BIG@$$ DRAGON? I don't have any Mythic Legions action figures. In fact, I don't think I have anything The Four Horsemen worked on. So why do I keep thinking about this thing? When I first saw it, yours truly was blown away. And honestly, seeing how well it was sculpted, I started thinking about the lighting setups that could show off all those scales. Then I started looking at reviews of the Valiant...
The Toypixx Newsletter February 23, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE I'LL LIKELY NEVER AGAIN GET MARVEL LEGENDS It's a weird thing to think about. Marvel Legends (and Toy Biz's Spider-Man Classics before it) were the main gateways to everything you've seen me do as far as videos, livestreams, and photos. So it's weird to think I may never get another one. But after showcasing their brand-new Maximum Spider-Man, I realized the one thing I want them to do (make a ball-peg waist...
The Toypixx Newsletter February 16, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE WHY I DON'T CHAT PRICING Thomas Gray first wrote, "ignorance is bliss." Of course, that was a couple centuries before the internet. Though it was also around 1,000 years after coffee was discovered. Lucky guy. These days, as with pretty much all human history, many have opinions on things they're woefully ignorant of. The internet amplifies said ignorance. And in toy collecting, pricing seems to be the...
