This month's prizes are pretty rad! First, the Patreon contest winner will receive the Jada Toys SDCC exclusive Violent Ken, and the YouTube winner will receive a GI Joe Classified Retro Cobra Commander (I have him, he's rad)!

Good luck to everyone who enters!

PICTURE-PERFECT PREORDERS

S.H.Figuarts went INSANE this week! They put up a ton of things for preorder, including a couple reissues and new figures from Dragon Ball Daima.

But the big news, at least for yours truly, is the 1.5-ish versions of some beloved Star Wars characters! They sold out fast, so if you missed 'em, I have links to Amazon Japan down below. As of my typing this, they've still got 'em!

Oh, and uhh, there's other rad stuff, as well.

NOTE: Entertainment Earth, eBay, and HobbyLink Japan links are affiliate links, which means I get a cut of the sale at no extra cost to you

THIS WEEK'S VIDEOS

As I mentioned earlier, S.H.Figuarts went crazy this week! So that, and a whole lotta other photogenic action figures got discussed on Monday's livestream.

And on Thursday, we discussed a whole lotta what was shown at Shanghai's Wonder Festival. And whoa, there was a LOT.

So, if those sound cool to check out, catch the replays!

AND WITH THAT

Holy geez! I forgot to make any kind of caffeine joke. And I think it's because no amount of caffeine could handle all the sleeplessness of the week.

Honestly, I'm gonna need direct lines to all the coffee bean farms.

Have fun, and happy snapping!

The Toypixx Newsletter January 19, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE A FIGURE PHOTOGRAPHER'S COLLECTING DILEMMA Action figures rule! But I think photography also rules! So putting the two together for Toypixx is a natural fit. Being into both of those, however, create quite the dilemma. On top of collecting everyone's favorite pieces of plastic crack, I need to load up on photo equipment, dios, effects, and props for creating pics I'll be happy with. So Mr. Stabby (the wallet)...

The Toypixx Newsletter January 12, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE IDEAS FOR 2025! Things are starting to ramp up when it comes to Toypixx! First, I'll be moving into the new office on February 1, where I'll have the room to shoot plenty of pics and videos, not to mention a nice space to work on the website. As for pics, videos, and the website, I'll be focusing (heh heh) a lot more on the photography aspect of action figures photography. That's because Toypixx needs a...

A lot of action figures are feeling a bit hungover after their big New Year's Eve party

The Toypixx Newsletter January 5, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE I'VE GOT THE SPOT! Yours truly's finally getting some office space! Starting Feb. 1, Toypixx will have a place all its own. And that's exciting because it means I can get back to shooting for real! For the last three or four months, I've been using the smartphone for all the pics. And while the quality's there, the control isn't. At least until a company comes up with great exterior lenses for smartphones, that...
