THIS MONTH'S TOYPIXX PHOTO CONTESTS' PRIZES!

This month marks the first Toypixx photo contests on YouTube and Patreon!

The YouTube contest is free, and the Patreon contest starts at the Grande tier ($5.00). Winner takes all in both contests.

The rules are as follows:

  1. No nudity. I'll be posting these online for people to vote on, and the internet doesn't like naked toys. There's a joke in there somewhere.
  2. One entry / image per contest. You're welcome to enter both contests using the same image for both, or a different one for each.
  3. Must be 18 years or older.

I'll post all the rules and other details on the Toypixx website in the very near future. And now, it's time announce the prizes!

For the YouTube contest, the winner will receive Jada Toys' SDCC exclusive Chun-Li! And for the Patreon contest, the winner gets the SDCC exclusive Once a Man Cobra Commander! Both are mint in box.

There's no theme this month, so shoot whatever you want, and send it to toypixx@gmail.com (complete with whatever social media accounts you want me to share) by September 23rd.

So, grab your camera or smartphone, and give it your best shot!

PICTURE-PERFECT PREORDERS

Holy reissues, Batman! And yes, there are multiple Batmans.

MAFEX, Mezco, and Amazing Yamaguchi are reissuing some of their greatest hits, and I couldn't be more stoked because so many people get a shot at the best Batman ever: the MAFEX Hush Batman!

Plus, tons of incredible-looking action figures that'll look great under your lights and in front of you lenses! In fact, there are so many this week, I don't even know what to type, so let's get to it!

After I take a quick sip of delectable caffeing, that is.

NOTE: Entertainment Earth, eBay, and HobbyLink Japan links are affiliate links, which means I get a cut of the sale at no extra cost to you

THIS WEEK'S PATREON FREEBIES!

It was another grand Patreon week! But first things first:

This week brought a couple backgrounds, a "zap" graphic, and some gradients. Not to mention EIGHT new hi-res images (and eight Photoshop files) because yours truly had a LOTTA fun with the camera.

And it seems my blue period.

And copious amounts of caffeine.

Anywho, if ya dig 'em, grab 'em!

THIS WEEK'S VIDEOS

It was another great week for livestreaming! But first, a message from Psylocke:

The theme of the past week was definitely reissues! Because, as the great Frank the Tank once said, "Everybody's doing it!"

Personally, I think it's a great idea because all these companies are releasing their greatest, and most in-demand, hits! That's helping people new to collecting, and saving the companies money so they can make more new stuff.

At least, that's my hypothesis.

Also, I show ya how to make word balloons on Photoshop.

And now, this past week's livestreams.

AND WITH THAT

It was another big week!

I was able to announce the prizes for the photo contests, there are all kinds of photogenic preorders (I think this is the most I've ever had in a newsletter), a whole lotta shots were shot, and very little sleep was had.

I should probably fix that. And possibly drink a touch less caffeine.

Have fun, and happy snapping!

The Toypixx Newsletter March 16, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE DO I NEED A BIG@$$ DRAGON? I don't have any Mythic Legions action figures. In fact, I don't think I have anything The Four Horsemen worked on. So why do I keep thinking about this thing? When I first saw it, yours truly was blown away. And honestly, seeing how well it was sculpted, I started thinking about the lighting setups that could show off all those scales. Then I started looking at reviews of the Valiant...

The Toypixx Newsletter February 23, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE I'LL LIKELY NEVER AGAIN GET MARVEL LEGENDS It's a weird thing to think about. Marvel Legends (and Toy Biz's Spider-Man Classics before it) were the main gateways to everything you've seen me do as far as videos, livestreams, and photos. So it's weird to think I may never get another one. But after showcasing their brand-new Maximum Spider-Man, I realized the one thing I want them to do (make a ball-peg waist...

The Toypixx Newsletter February 16, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE WHY I DON'T CHAT PRICING Thomas Gray first wrote, "ignorance is bliss." Of course, that was a couple centuries before the internet. Though it was also around 1,000 years after coffee was discovered. Lucky guy. These days, as with pretty much all human history, many have opinions on things they're woefully ignorant of. The internet amplifies said ignorance. And in toy collecting, pricing seems to be the...
