GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS!
It's been a nutty few weeks, as I've been traveling between a couple spots, which is making it tough to keep the quality up with pics. It kinda makes it so I feel like I'm going through the motions. Which is annoying.
Hopefully that all dies down soon, however, as there are plans in place to mitigate that in a big way.
As always, I'll keep ya posted!
PICTURE-PERFECT PREORDERS
Last week, I had to hide the wallet. This week's photogenic figures, however, have me safe from Mr. Stabby's wrath.
Zelda looks great, though she also looks like she can barely move her legs. I'm curious about Masquerena, but not curious enough to buy her. And, of course, there are a couple McFarlane Toys figures and a Legends Warbird. She looks fantastic, but nothing at the waist kills me.
Yup. I'm safe from Mr. Stabby's wrath. At least this week.
NOTE: Entertainment Earth, eBay, and HobbyLink Japan links are affiliate links, which means I get a cut of the sale at no extra cost to you
THIS WEEK'S PATREON FREEBIES!
With spooky season over, it's time to get back to your regularly-scheduled Patreon freebies! But first...
November's busy enough where I'm skipping the YouTube photo contest. But the Patreon photo contest is still happening! And this month's theme is RELAXATION!
The prize is Hasbro's GI Joe Classified Road Pig. So get in on the snapping action by signing up for the $5.00 Grande tier, and click here for all the other details.
And now, it's Patreon freebie time!
The first wallpaper's a lit-up warehouse one, which is nice because it can work for most any figure. Then there's the sun, which is a bit tougher to use with just any figure, though Supes would work. With the weather turning, it was time for a blizzard effect (partly to get me prepped for the upcoming Michigan winter). And, with a MAFEX Jubilee coming out in another year or so (if we're lucky), there are also some fireworks.
Oh, and of course, all the past week's Photoshop and hi-res image files.
So, if ya dig any of 'em, go get 'em!
THIS WEEK'S VIDEOS
It was another livestream kinda week, loaded with all kinds of fun with the crew!
In Monday's video, we chatted the previous week's photogenic figures, including all kinds of SHF, Mondo's Peter Venkman, and even some Marvel Legends. On Thursday, we chatted tips I have for action figure photography, as well as tips from the crew.
lick the replays to check 'em out, and remember to check out the Toypixx livestreams every Monday and Thursday at 7:00 PM EST.
AND WITH THAT
This short newsletter's over!
As we near the end of the year, I don't expect we'll get tons of photogenic announcements, at least from domestic companies. But that doesn't mean the collecting game's over for 2024. I'm catching up on Jada and MAFEX, and looking at more lighting equipment as Toypixx preps for an insane 2025.
That's right. It's not even Turkey Day and I'm already looking ahead to next year. And I can't even blame the coffee.
Have fun, and happy snapping!
