The recent Mythic Legions has me thrown off in a good way. Unless you're Mr. Stabby.
For years, as incredible as they look, I've been able to avoid Legions because of their lack of articulation. But the latest wave is making serious strides at correcting that oversight. And I'm diggin' 'em!
A zillion thanks go out to Tragic Hero for my first Operation: Monster Force figure: Declan Van Helsing! Ladies and gentlemen, if you dig action figure photography, do your collection a favor and give Monster Force a shot. The detail, the paint, the accessories, and the articulation are nuts!
In the best possible way, of course.
PICTURE-PERFECT PREORDERS
Some crazy photogenic figures showed up for preorder this week!
First, you know I'm stoked whenever MAFEX's time of the month pops up, which doesn't sound at all horribly wrong. I'm not big on comic characters as movie figures, but I have decisions to make on that Stormtrooper.
I'm also a huge fan of Jada Toys and want 'em all! That means David and Lucy, from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, will be joining the collection. Perhaps Monkey will also make it in. Because Monkey.
Then you have Lord of the Rings showing up in S.H.Figuarts, and I know a lotta people are stoked about those.

The wallpapers ended up being a foggy jungle and a Transylvanian castle (inspired by the Operation: Monster Force Declan Van Helsing). And the effects were action lines, along with my favorite freebie of the week: a red laser effect.
I like the red laser so much because it can be used as both a laser AND a lightsaber effect! Bonus: most photo-editing apps will allow you to change the color of the laser, so you can use it for all kinds of blasters, Sith, and Jedi.

As always, Monday was the day we chatted figures that'd gone up for preorder, in the previous week, we thought would look great under your lights and front of your lens!
Yeah. I totally copied that paragraph from the last newsletter.
But Thursday was tricky. I thought I had collecting for the foreseeable future figured out. With the articulation improvements in Mythic Legions and getting Declan Van Helsing, I began questioning what I had figured out. And now I'm lost. So the livestream was about asking everyone if they have the same type of problems as yours truly. Not many seemed to, so I'm an island.
A highly, highly-caffeinated island.
