Yours truly's finally getting some office space! Starting Feb. 1, Toypixx will have a place all its own. And that's exciting because it means I can get back to shooting for real! For the last three or four months, I've been using the smartphone for all the pics. And while the quality's there, the control isn't. At least until a company comes up with great exterior lenses for smartphones, that is.
It also means people and / or companies can send me stuff to shoot, and I can get locals more involved in taking pics and helping to build the business that way.
Basically, big things are coming in 2025 for Toypixx, and I can't wait to share it all with ya.
Though now I've gotta go Keurig shopping. Hmmm.
These figures could definitely use some caffeinated beveraging
PICTURE-PERFECT PREORDERS
A lotta short picture-perfect preorders sections the last couple weeks, but I anticipate that'll change very soon. In the meantime, here are four great ones! I'm specifically looking at how freaky that The Painted Skin figure looks, as well as how incredible the crocodile does. But that one'll set ya back!
Be ready to talk about a lotta these on Monday's livestream at 7:00 PM EST.
NOTE: Entertainment Earth, eBay, and HobbyLink Japan links are affiliate links, which means I get a cut of the sale at no extra cost to you
Voting for December's Patreon photo contest has started! The theme was "The Holidays." Voting ends Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 11:59 PM PST. The winner will be announced on the Toypixx livestream on Thursday, Jan 9.
Good luck to this month's entries! Speaking of, here are the pics.

First, with yours truly living in Michigan, it's nice to dream about warmer places during the winter months, and I'm reasonably confident that's what prompted the Tropical Paradise Wallpaper. The Party Room one was because New Year's, as of course was the Glitter Bomb Effect. The Exploding Concrete effect's there because who doesn't want some kicked-up concrete in their figure photos?
And, of course, this week's hi-res image and Photoshop files.
Monday's livestream wasn't too crazy, as there wasn't tons to talk about in the realm of photogenic figures that went up for preorder in the last week.
Thursday's wasn't either because most everyone has fairly similar action figure-collecting resolutions. Most notably seems to be getting pickier about what we all pick up. And that's good for all of us, because that means Mr. Stabby the Murderous Wallet is less likely to stab us in our sleep.

What can I say? It's another short one. But hey, that's only partially my fault when not a lot gets shown off. Plus, yours truly's not so much into filibustering when it comes to the newsletter.
Unless I'm making coffee jokes. Because mmmm...coffee...
The Toypixx Newsletter March 16, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE DO I NEED A BIG@$$ DRAGON? I don't have any Mythic Legions action figures. In fact, I don't think I have anything The Four Horsemen worked on. So why do I keep thinking about this thing? When I first saw it, yours truly was blown away. And honestly, seeing how well it was sculpted, I started thinking about the lighting setups that could show off all those scales. Then I started looking at reviews of the Valiant...
The Toypixx Newsletter February 23, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE I'LL LIKELY NEVER AGAIN GET MARVEL LEGENDS It's a weird thing to think about. Marvel Legends (and Toy Biz's Spider-Man Classics before it) were the main gateways to everything you've seen me do as far as videos, livestreams, and photos. So it's weird to think I may never get another one. But after showcasing their brand-new Maximum Spider-Man, I realized the one thing I want them to do (make a ball-peg waist...
The Toypixx Newsletter February 16, 2025 PATREON YOUTUBE X/TWITTER INSTAGRAM WEBSITE WHY I DON'T CHAT PRICING Thomas Gray first wrote, "ignorance is bliss." Of course, that was a couple centuries before the internet. Though it was also around 1,000 years after coffee was discovered. Lucky guy. These days, as with pretty much all human history, many have opinions on things they're woefully ignorant of. The internet amplifies said ignorance. And in toy collecting, pricing seems to be the...
